Two municipal parking
facilities will be built on Watson Island to support the
various public and private projects.
The South Side Parking Lot is located adjacent to the
Miami Children’s Museum and Chalk's Airlines. This
surface parking lot has 340 parking spaces available.
Construction was completed and opened on July 2004.
The Public Boat Ramp Parking Lot was completed in the
summer of 2003. This lot provides 50 oversized parking
spaces for vehicles with trailers after launching their
marine vessel on one of the three public boat ramp docks
and 30 standard size parking spaces.
Both facilities were constructed and maintained by the
Miami Parking Authority.
