Manuel Hartman
Manuel Hartman first became politically active during the 2008 presidential campaign. As a union steward at his local, Communications Workers of America local 3122, he went canvassing door to door as well as at work centers. He spoke to active and retired union members on the importance of voting and becoming civically active.
After the 2012 presidential campaign, Manny knew there needed to be more done to educate and mobilize the electorate. In February of 2014, he helped bring back the South Florida Labor Council for Latin American Advancement Chapter (LCLAA). LCLAA is a national organization and a constituent group of the AFL-CIO. As its president, the chapter has been building a bridge between the union labor organizations and its diverse communities. They advocate for civic community engagement through getting out the vote and voter registration initiatives. He also is active within his neighborhood association, The Little Havana Neighborhood Association.
Manny is a 17 year employee of AT&T Telecommunications and serves as a services technician working on the copper and fiber wire line infrastructure. He is a huge sports fan of all the local teams. Manny is married, has one son, and lives in the City of Miami.
