Mr. Manowitz

Mr. Manowitz has been a resident of the city of Miami since 2002, prior to that residing in Miami Beach, but originally from the Northeast. In addition to his current position on the City of Miami Community Relations Board appointed by Commissioner Francis Suarez, Mr. Manowitz served as an appointee of Mayor Tomas Regalado on the city of Miami bond oversight board, was on the Board of Directors of the Miami Shenandoah Neighborhood Association, and is a current active member of the Historic Shenandoah Homeowner’s group.

Although currently working for United Healthgroup as an information technology director, Mr. Manowitz has previous experience in media, consulting, and banking across both technology and business operations at a number of large multinationals. His educational background includes accounting, finance, and technology at Rider University, Rutgers University and Seton Hall University.

A former firefighter in New Jersey, Mr. Manowitz is also a holder of the US Coast Guard commercial masters license and is an active diver, fisherman, pleasure boater, and delivery/charter captain across the eastern seaboard of the United States from the Keys to Maine.
