Virginia M. Akar

Virginia M. Akar is an attorney and human rights advocate. She began her career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County in 1994. In 2016, she returned to school and earned her Master of Laws in Intercultural Human Rights. She is currently the Executive Director of Young Musicians Unite, a non-profit organization that provides free music programming to youth in the Wynwood and Overtown areas and works as a legal consultant in Miami.
