Vote-by-Mail (formerly
Absentee Voting)
Vote-by-Mail refers to voting received by mail or picked
up by or for a voter who is unable or unwilling to go to
the polls to vote during early voting or Election Day.
To receive a Vote-by-Mail ballot, the voter or
authorized person must
contact his or her county Supervisor of Elections.
Any registered voter eligible to vote may
request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot by email, fax, telephone
or
in writing. In addition, you may present a picture
identification with a signature in person at the
Miami-Dade Elections Department or authorize a
designee to pick up the ballot on the day prior to
Election Day.

Political Signage in your Neighborhood
The
City of Miami Code and City Zoning Code, and
County Regulations and State Statutes control the
size, placement and timely removal of political signs and
advertising.
In
particular:
-
No sign permit shall be
required for political election Signs displayed on
private property. Such political election Signs
shall be permitted
no earlier than three (3) months
prior to the date of the election and
removed within
fifteen (15) days after the election. All such
election Signs shall be subject to the following
regulations:
In T5-L ,O T6-L, O, CI, CI-HD, D1, D2 and D3
transect Zones, Signs shall not exceed
fifteen (15)
square feet in aggregate of Sign surface Area; or
In T3, T4, T5-R and T6-R
Transect Zones, Signs shall not exceed four (4)
square feet in aggregate of Sign surface Area.
